Julius Bär Beach Polo World Cup Sylt

For the sixth time Hörnum will provide the venue for the Beach Polo World Cup Sylt.

Six professional polo teams from four different countries play each other in “chukkas” at the east beach. The players in teams of two - and their 40 or more Argentine polo horses - compete in the polo arena in one of the world’s most adrenalin-fuelled sports.

While watching this “sport of kings” on the beautiful east beach, you can savour the pleasures of the palate and enjoy the presentations by the tournament sponsors.

Treat yourself to tasty delicacies from the star Swiss gourmet chef Pius Regli in the VIP area or enjoy the unique view of the North Sea and the polo arena with a bottle of Lanson Champagne or a refreshing König Pilsener beer on the terrace of the Sylt Catamaran Club’s beach house.

Parking spaces in Hörnum are very limited, so it is advisable to use public transport - bus route 2 of the SVG (Sylt Transport Company) from Westerland to Hörnum Harbour - or take a taxi.
